Be prepared to work in the hospitality industry by getting a real taste for what the role involves! Employers are always thrilled to bring on new staff who have already completed their basic hospitality training. Become confident taking orders, preparing counter food and learning about safe food practices which are required by all food handlers and beverage creators.

All learners get plenty of hands-on experience on the espresso machines. You will not only be able to make an exceptional brew but also be knowledgeable on coffee bean production and the history of turning those beans into the coffee we drink today! You will walk away with NZQA unit 167 which is an essential training for all food handlers and meets the compulsory training requirements of all food handlers under the Food Act 2014, from market stalls, cafes and restaurants to senior living and childcare centers.

This course is for duty managers and hospitality staff to gain their Licence Controller Qualification [LCQ].
It is a legal requirement for any business that sells alcohol to always have a Duty Manager on duty at all times. LCQ is also an essential qualification for those required to apply or renew their Duty Manager’s Certificate.

Foundation First Aid

1 Day (8hrs)

NZQA Level 2

This 1 day first aid course is ideal for anyone wanting to learn the basics of first aid.
This course includes all course content from the Provide Basic Life Support course and covers the
NZQA unit standards 6401 and 6402. This course has a further focus on providing first aid for traumatic
injuries (burns, fractures, dislocations, soft tissue injuries and poisoning) and medical emergencies
(heart attacks, diabetic emergency, asthma attack, seizure and stroke).

In addition, for ITS courses an awareness of Anaphylaxis is also taught on this course
• Eligible for NZQA unit standards 6401 and 6402.
• Meets WorkSafe NZ requirements for first aid training.
• It will give you a Foundation First Aid certificate that is valid for 2 years

People credited with this unit standard are able to provide first aid.
